At least 1 killed in bus crash in French Alps

At least one British national was killed Tuesday when a bus crashed in the ski resort town of Alpe d’Huez in the French Alps, local police told CNN.

The accident occurred at 3 p.m. (9 a.m. ET).

The French newspaper Le Dauphine Libere reported the bus was carrying 50 young British nationals. The UK Foreign Office told CNN it was aware of the reports, but had no further details.
