Ukraine's Tymoshenko loses appeal
London
CNN
—
Ukrainian opposition leader Yuliya Tymoshenko suffered arbitrary detention in 2011, violating multiple articles of the European Convention on Human Rights, the European Court of Human Rights found Tuesday.
Tymoshenko is serving a seven-year sentence for abusing her authority when she was prime minister.
The United States and Europe see the punishment as politically motivated.
