The world’s best jockey?

Ryan Moore has been criticized for being grumpy in the saddle but he has every reason to smile after a stunning few years which have seen him regularly talked about as the world's best jockey.

For all his success, Moore is very much the quiet man of flat racing, insisting there will be no jumping out of the saddle in celebration a la Frankie Dettori.

He rides for Britain's Queen Elizabeth II more than any other jockey in the world, and insists that riding for the monarch comes without pressure because she is so easy going.

Commentators focused on Moore's all-smiling manner in the wake of the victory. Normally, he admits to doing little celebrating during race meets as his work is not done for the day.

Arguably his biggest win, came at the world's richest race, The Prix de l'arc de Triomphe, in 2010 in which he beat a stellar field to win on board Workforce.

He has also won Britain's most famous flat race, the Epsom Derby, on two occasions, most recently in 2013 on board Ruler of the World.
