$488,000, how much you would have to pay to hang Lionel Messi in your living room. The Barca star was been painted by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, with the piece sold as part of an auction aimed at raising money for child education charities.

The auction is was held at Sotheby's in London on Thursday and also featured this Messi-inspired piece by British art icon Damien Hirst -- which fetched $562,000. In total, the auction raised $3.8 million.
