Reigning world champion Marc Marquez led the way at pre-season testing at Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit. The Spaniard clocked a time of one minute 59.115 seconds.

Marquez's compatriot Jorge Lorenzo was his nearest rival, finishing 0.3 seconds behind.

Britain's Cal Crutchlow also impressed finishing the Sepang testing in third on the CWM LCR Honda. The Briton left Ducati last season after a disappointing run of results with the Italian team.

Crutchlow's replacement at Ducati, Andrea Iannone finished a very promising fourth.

Iannone's compatriot, Valentino Rossi (right) was a place further behind in fifth.

Monster Tech3 Yamaha rider Bradley Smith finished sixth while Dani Pedrosa (pictured) was seventh.
