Teenager Max Verstappen achieved the best reult of his short F1 career when he placed fourth at the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 24.

Verstappen became the youngest driver in F1 history when he made his race debut in Australia in March 2015.

Verstappen was a young man in demand in Melbourne after making history at the age of 17 years and 166 days.

The Belgium-born Dutch driver (center) was on course to be the youngest points scorer before his Toro Rosso hit engine trouble in Melbourne.

"We did everything together to get here," says Verstappen of his father Jos, seen here during his son's 2014 Formula Three season. "He was pushing for it. But the first time I drove an F1 car he was really nervous."

Sister Victoria Verstappen and Jos watched Max in Barcelona testing in February. He says of his sister's own racing style: "She has more the character of my Dad. She's more aggressive when she's driving, it's quite funny to see."

Verstappen and his Toro Rosso teammate, fellow rookie Carlos Sainz Jr. of Spain, both have famous fathers. Sainz Jr. is the son of two-time world rally champion Carlos Sainz.

What's the secret of Verstappen's rapid rise to F1? "Because my Dad prepared me so well from a young age," he says.
