Eugenie Bouchard's 2015 season has been nothing like her breakthrough 2014.

She lost for the eighth time in the last nine matches, ousted in the first round of the French Open Tuesday by Kristina Mladenovic.

Bouchard is only 21 but she's already gained a reputation for being a player who plays well on the big stage. Thus losing in the first round -- it was the first time she lost in the first round at a major -- was indeed worrying.

Bouchard was the toast of tennis in 2014, making grand slam semifinals in Melbourne and Paris.

She went one better at Wimbledon, making the final before falling to Petra Kvitova.
