Andy Murray broke his eight-match losing streak against Novak Djokovic -- a run stretching back to the 2013 Wimbledon final -- to win the Rogers Cup in Montreal.

The three-hour match ended 6-4 4-6 6-3 and earned the Scot his fourth title of the year, while Djokovic remains on an impressive 25 Masters titles.

The win moved Murray back up to the world number two position just two weeks before the start of the U.S. Open, the final grand slam of the year.

Murray dedicated the win to his coach Amelie Mauresmo, who gave birth to a baby boy Sunday. The Scot is expecting a baby of his own, with longtime partner Kim Sears -- who he married in April.

Djokovic complained during his semifinal that he could smell weed in the crowd but he was powerless to stop Murray's smoking hot form.
