She’s the boss: Women coaches emerge in top men’s leagues

Former Arsenal Ladies Manager Shelley Kerr made history last year by becoming the first senior female football manager in a British men's league. Kerr is currently coaching Stirling University in the Lowland League, the fifth tier of Scottish football, while completing a Master's degree in sports management.

Golf pro Michael Thompson was coached by Susie Meyers for 15 years before recently parting ways amicably. Thompson -- who won the Honda Classic with Meyers in 2013 -- was the only male on tour with a female coach.
