Rossi and Lorenzo have been engaged in a titanic battle this season. Here, the Italian leads the Spaniard at the MotoGP of Argentina.

Lorenzo, a two-time MotoGP champion, took the checkered flag at the last round in Brno, Czech Republic. The Spaniard officially leads the championship standings by virtue of his five race wins compared to Rossi's three.

Nine-time world champion Rossi in action at Indianapolis earlier this month. The Italian won the opening round of the championship in Qatar following it with victory two races later in Argentina. His third victory came in the Netherlands at the end of June.

Rossi, Lorenzo and reigning world champion Marc Marquez at Thursday's press conference at Silverstone. Marquez currently lies third in the championship, a distant 52 points behind.

There's plently of interest for British fans this weekend with home favorite Cal Crutchlow in action and Bradley Smith (pictured) who is the leading British rider, currently lying fifth in the championship standings.

Briton Scott Redding has had a difficult debut year for the Marc VDS Racing Team. He is currently 14th in the standings.

Meanwhile in Moto3, championship leader, Britain's Danny Kent will be looking for his sixth win of the season in front of at Silverstone.
