Ian Rush of Liverpool (left) and Tony Adams of Arsenal in action during the 1989 Charity Shield match at Wembley Stadium in London. Rush won five league titles with Liverpool, along with three FA Cups and two European Cups.

The Welshman's very last performance for club came in the 1996 FA Cup final at Wembley against Manchester United. Liverpool lost the match 1-0, after a late Eric Cantona goal. Rush deflected the ball towards the Frenchman to register an unwanted assist with one of his last touches for the Reds.

Rush played for Juventus (seen in their kit taking a penalty in a preseason friendly) and played in Turin during the 1987-88 season before returning to Liverpool. Rush spoke of missing his favorite digestive biscuits, along with other British comforts, while in Italy.

Rush bounced around after his Liverpool career ended in 1996, playing for five more teams including Leeds United.
