Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have given their blessing to a group of homeless people who have moved into a building the pair own in Manchester. The building, which used to be the city's stock exchange, is set to be converted into a boutique hotel in February.

Neville enjoyed a successful playing career under Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. He retired in 2011 after making 602 appearances for the club and winning 85 caps for England. He won the Champions League twice, eight Premier League trophies, three FA Cups and two League Cups during his time at Old Trafford.

Giggs glory —
Ryan Giggs is is the most decorated player in the English game, having won 13 Premier League titles, four FA Cups and two Champions Leagues, among 34 trophies. He retired in May 2014 after making a club record 963 appearances for United and 64 times for Wales. He is currently assistant manager at the club.

Neville has been told the gesture will save "hundreds of lives" by local human rights and homelessness activist Wes Hall.
