Bayern Munich took revenge on Arsenal after putting on a masterclass at Allianz Arena to win 5-1. Bayern, beaten 2-0 in London a fortnight ago, were 3-0 up at the interval.

Olympiakos took a giant stride towards qualifying for the knockout phase with a 2-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb. Felipe Pardo was the hero for the home side, scoring twice in the second half after Dinamo had taken a 15th minute lead.

Belgian side Gent produced a fine performance to defeat Valencia 1-0 in Belgium to ensure its first victory of this campaign. Sven Kums scored from the penalty spot four minutes after the interval.
