The UConn Huskies are now back-to-back champions after defeating the Purdue Boilermakers in the championship game on Monday.
UConn has been a dominant force in men's college basketball in the last 25 years, winning a record six titles since 1999. Its tournament prowess has been on show this this year too, outclassing team after team as they bulldozed their way to the final.
Their Final Four 86-72 win over Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday was their 11th straight NCAA tournament game by double-digits, even after much of the game had been closely fought.
No. 1 seed Purdue defeated NC State 63-50 earlier Saturday night, bouncing back from last year's disappointment having lost in the first round. This is first time the Boilermakers reached the title game in 55 years.
