Parents should read labels carefully and not be swayed by claims of wholesome and nutritious.
Coming up. Target's gamble pays off.
'Hey, welcome back. Target seems to be making a comeback thanks to price cuts. The retailer's profit boomed 36% last quarter, and its stock surged 13% in premarket trading. It's a notable feat given that U.S. consumers are changing their shopping patterns after years of inflation. And it's the result of Target slashing prices on 5000 frequently bought items to attract customers. So many shoppers are spending more selectively than they were early in the pandemic, focusing on discount stores like Target and Walmart instead of Lowe's and Macy's. Macy's quarterly sales at stores open for at least one year fell 4%, the company said Wednesday, and its stock fell 7% during pre-market trading.
