From CNN, I'm Ifeoma Dike with the five things you need to know for Friday, September 6th. A judge has delayed former President Donald Trump's sentencing in his hush money case until after the 2024 presidential election. In a four page letter explaining his decision, the judge wrote that he would sentence Trump on November 26th if necessary. Here's CNN's Kara Scannell.

He's doing this in part to avoid any appearance that he is trying to influence the election to affect one party or the other. Now, he's also saying that he is not going to rule on the question of presidential immunity. That decision was expected to come on September 16th. The judge now saying he will not issue that decision until after the election as well. Trump's lawyers have said that if they lose that, they're going to appeal it, and they will likely also seek to continue to delay the sentencing.
In May, the former president was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels, who alleges she had an affair with him, which Trump denies. Trump sentencing has been on hold for months after his lawyers pushed to have the conviction tossed because of the Supreme Court's ruling that Trump has immunity for official acts he took as president.
88 business leaders are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency. Some high profile names include James Murdoch, son of Rupert Murdoch, Mark Cuban and LinkedIn billionaire Reid Hoffman. They say she's a stronger candidate for the U.S. economy and the future of democracy. The Democratic presidential nominee unveiled more of her economic policies this week. They include tax relief for small businesses and a lower tax on capital gains than President Biden is calling for. Former President Donald Trump has gained support from a number of CEOs, most notably Elon Musk, who endorsed him in July. The Republican presidential nominee also unveiled his economic plans, which include further reducing the corporate tax rate and slashing government regulations.

When he was taken into custody on Wednesday we did not have the identities or the conditions of the other victims, so we were not able to charge on those offenses.
The district attorney said it's possible Gray's father could face more charges, too. 54 year old Colin Gray has been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children. The most severe ever filed against an alleged school shooter's parent. He allegedly gave his son a gun with, as the arrest warrant says, knowledge he was a threat to himself and others. The shooting at the Winder Georgia high school left two teachers and two students dead, including 14 year old Christian Angulo. His mother told Univision that her son's whole future was taken away from him.

He didn't deserve this. He didn't deserve to die like this. I miss him. For me, this is like. I wish it was a dream.
Two U.S. officials have told CNN the U.S. has detected increased Russian military activity around key undersea cables. The officials say it means Russia may now be more likely to carry out sabotage operations aimed at a key piece of global infrastructure. A coordinated attack could significantly disrupt private, government and military communications, plus the industries that rely on them, like financial markets and energy suppliers. A U.S. official also told CNN the U.S. would consider any such sabotage of undersea infrastructure as a significant escalation in Russian aggression outside of Ukraine. Coming up, tonight's U.S. Open semifinal is the hottest ticket in tennis.
For the first time in nearly 20 years, two Americans will face off tonight in the U.S. Open men's semifinal. And ticket prices are through the roof of Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York. Prices have surged 60% since Tuesday, when the matchup between Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe was finalized. Fans are paying about $500 on average. That's the fifth most expensive U.S. Open men's semifinal on record, according to a TickPick spokesperson. The demand to see lower ranked American players far outpaces that for the top ranked male player in tennis, italy's Jannik Sinner. But no matter what you're paying, Fritz versus Tiafoe will be a priceless piece of history. Whoever wins, an American man will compete in the finals on Sunday, which hasn't happened since 2006.
That does it for us. Tune in tomorrow for a new episode of Five Good Things.
