Beauty trends come and go, but finding a reliable depuffing solution is going to always be in style. Whether you’re puffy by nature or pulled an all-nighter and need to look wide awake on an early-morning Zoom, having a quick and easy way to tighten and brighten your skin is clutch. So when we heard about an affordable ice roller that does just that over and over (and over!) again, it piqued our attention.

Dubbed the Esarora Ice Roller, the handheld gel-and-water device is being cited by TikTokers, A-listers and good ol’ Amazon reviewers alike as the best way to reduce puffiness, soothe inflamed skin, diminish pores and increase blood flow in your face (not to mention eliminating wrinkles and crow’s-feet).

From reducing puffiness to soothing inflamed skin to being fantastic for hangover-induced headaches (you didn't hear that from us), this ice roller is one of our favorite do-it-all beauty products.

How does it work? Simply place the roller head in your freezer overnight (or for 10-15 minutes prior to using), then attach it to the handle and glide it over your face, neck and chest every morning — or save it for mornings when you’re really dragging — and voila, your skin will be revitalized and refreshed in less than a minute thanks to that frosty roller, making it look like you got a full eight hours of sleep, when you really only got four.

I’ve been using the Esarora Ice Roller for over a year now, and here’s why I’m a devotee.

How I found the Esarora Ice Roller

We all have our beloved influencers, those feel-like-your-friends content creators who love to chat and share all their faves, and when multiple were swearing by the Esarora, I knew it was time to give it a try. One of my top follows is Young House Love blogger, Sherri Petersik, who is known for flipping houses and incredible DIY design renovations, but also for finding amazing, affordable products and sharing them with her 354,000 Instagram followers.?“It’s for days when you feel super puffy, I’m a very puffy person… it’s like the cold cucumber, but times a million,” she said in an IG story video. How did Petersik discover the tool? From fellow influencer Grace Atwood of The Stripe (who wrote a full testimonial about the roller that you can check out here).

Once I started digging deeper, I discovered Petersik wasn’t alone — celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin cites it as being her “best” beauty tool (she bought the ice roller thanks to the recommendation of Because I’m Addicted blogger Geri Hirsch!). Also on board is supermodel Karlie Kloss, who introduced Jimmy Fallon to the depuffing practice.

Naturally, TikTok has jumped on the bandwagon, too. “Facial icing” is a massive trend on the platform these days with more than 7.7 billion views, and as such the Esarora reviews have been pouring in. Not to mention, it’s become an Underscored staff favorite with other editors raving about the viral beauty product’s soothing chill.

And then there are the Amazon reviews — a whopping 20,000 of them. Boasting an overall 4.7-star rating, the ice roller is beloved by shoppers, who use it for everything from depuffing and hot flashes to migraines, sinus pressure, allergies and neck pain. The combination of Esarora’s massive following and its under-20-bucks price tag was what made me buy it.

Why it’s a score

There are lots of products out there that promise big results and don’t deliver —?Esarora isn’t one of them. Priced at just $19, the ice roller is a quick, easy and affordable solution for daily depuffing.

Promoting immediate lymphatic drainage, the Esarora is like a facial rolling pin, and you control the pressure. Want a professional-grade massage? Then apply force. Just want a quick refresh? Glide the roller lightly over your skin to brighten. At its most basic level, the Esarora is a depuffing tool and its iciness does that almost immediately by causing blood to rise beneath the surface of the skin, leaving your face looking alive and healthy, like it would after a fancy facial.

But what I really love is that in the year I’ve been using it, the Esarora has become a jack of all trades product in my household. You can pretty much use it on anything that’s ailing you — have a migraine? Roll it over your temples for immediate relief. Did your daughter bang her elbow into the wall? Pull out the ice roller. Got a laser treatment yesterday and your skin is inflamed? It’s ice roller time.

And it can also function as a massager while you’re wearing a face mask, and many Amazon reviewers say they see and feel results after just 45 seconds of use. Read: It’s super-fast, too.

Another random ailment that it’s been a huge fix for is growing pains. I have four kids who are all sprouting up, and they often suffer from growing pains in their legs at night. To help, I started rolling the Esarora up and down their legs, essentially giving them an icy massage, and the relief is always immediate.

There’s also the hangover factor. The older we get, the harder it is to recover from a few cocktails and some salty food (hello bloat face!). While Advil and Liquid IV can help, I’ve found the combination of the Esarora’s freezing ice on my skin and the rolling massage not only aid how I look, but also how I feel, which is more awake and stimulated.

Ultimately the Esarora Ice Roller is worth the investment because it’s insanely versatile and super affordable. Whether you’re using it as a weekend hangover remedy or inserting into your daily beauty regimen on the regular, for 19 bucks, you won’t be disappointed.
