Nintendo’s more stylish Switch models rarely go on sale, so we’re excited that Walmart’s delivering some action to compete with Amazon’s October Prime Day. This latest deal cuts $40 off the price of the gorgeous Tears of the Kingdom version of the Nintendo Switch OLED.
This limited-edition Switch features gorgeous artwork inspired by one of the year's best games. We don't expect it to stay in stock for long.
And while we normally look at claims of limited supplies that demand you “buy now!” with a bit of suspicion, we definitely think this will sell out quickly.
This customized Switch features a stylish white-and-gold dock with the Hylian crest and other symbols from the game. Its gold Joy-Con controllers are decorated in green and white patterns familiar to fans, and it all ties into mysteries you’ll gain a better understanding of after having beaten The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Of course, you get the standard 7-inch OLED display in this Switch, which gives you better color and contrast than on the original Switch (in case you need another reason to buy). Its dock also got an upgrade over yesteryear’s model, with an Ethernet port for hardwired connections, and it’s got a better kickstand for more stable tabletop play.
If the Switch isn’t the only console you game on, you’ll be excited to hear that Walmart has other exciting gaming hardware sales.
For our money, the best option is the PlayStation 5 + Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which basically throws in the fantastic Spidey game for free. Also, you can save $30 on the Xbox Series S Gilded Hunter Bundle, which packs nine in-game cosmetics and virtual currency for Fortnite, Rocket League and (our favorite) Fall Guys. It’s currently $269, down from $299.
