Nomad Glow 2.0 iPhone and Apple Watch CNN-1.jpg

Nomad has been one of our favorite accessory makers for Apple devices for many years. From the company’s excellent leather cases for the iPhone to its rugged Apple Watch bands, its wireless charging stations to the beautiful leather folios for the iPad, Nomad has a little something for everything that’s high quality and ready for action.

Last year, the company released one of its most stunning products yet: a glow-in-the-dark band for the Apple Watch. It was such a hit that Nomad sold out shortly after it went up for sale, and it never made a return to the company’s website.

Nomad brought this series back earlier this year with the Glow 2.0 Sport band for Apple Watch, along with a glow-in-the-dark case for the iPhone 15 Pro, and once again, they sold out very quickly. Fortunately, Nomad just restocked these popular accessories, so if you want a chance to add some extra glow to your iPhone or Apple Watch, you’ll want to act quick.

Pricing and (limited) availability

Nomad's excellent Sport Case finally gets the Glow treatment, with a neon green glow-in-the-dark finish complementing its grippy and durable design.

The new Nomad Sport Band in Glow 2.0 glows three times more brightly than the previous model while offering the same soft, 100% waterproof design.

Nomad is charging $50 for the Glow Sport case, which is available for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. You can order it now through Nomad’s website.

The Glow 2.0 Sport band is available for both the 49mm/45mm Apple Watch and 41mm/40mm model. It’s priced at $60 and can also be purchased from Nomad’s site.

If you plan on ordering one, you’ll want to do it as soon as possible. These limited-edition accessories sold out quickly when they launched earlier this year, and it’s very rare that Nomad restocks a special product like this. We’re not expecting future restocks, so this is likely your best (and last) shot.

Make your iPhone glow with Nomad’s new Sport Case

The iPhone case in question is a variation of Nomad’s Sport case, which is regularly updated with new colors. This time around, it’s Glow, which gives the exterior of the case a light, nearly seafoam green appearance during the day.

At night, the case begins to glow neon green, and yes — it looks absolutely sick. It’s hard to convey how cool it looks through photos, but you can get a general sense of just how different it is compared to conventional cases. In person, the case looks stellar, especially with the contrasting black frame.

Speaking of which, this is a Sport case through and through, so you’ll get an extra-grippy frame along the sides of your iPhone, aluminum buttons, a microfiber lining inside, a glossy back that’s somehow still grippy and 8-foot drop protection. It’s one of my favorite iPhone 15 cases on the market, so I’m thrilled to see Glow make an appearance on it.

The updated Apple Watch band is three times as bright

Of course, we can’t forget about the new Glow Sport band for the Apple Watch, which I expect a lot of people to be excited about.

The band itself is a normal Sport band from Nomad with a soft, breathable FKM fluoroelastomer rubber that’s 100% waterproof. It comes with an aluminum fastener for extra security, and there are plenty of slots to adjust the size to accommodate your wrist. What’s changed compared to the previous glow-in-the-dark Sport band is the color; the previous model had an off-white appearance during the day, whereas Glow 2.0 is way greener.

At night, the new Glow Sport band glows three times as bright, which is really impressive. Nomad said it went through almost two dozen different tests trying to get it to glow just the right way, while also looking relatively normal during the day. You can see the image above with the old band on the bottom and the new band on the top; half of my wrist is glowing much more than the other half. The difference between the two is so significant that if you bought one of the old Glow bands, it’s worth upgrading to the new one.

Nomad’s release strategy for new variations of its cases and watch bands is pretty sporadic, so you can anticipate more drops like this in the future. I will admit, the new Glow 2.0 collection is one of my personal favorites, if only because now my Apple Watch and iPhone can glow in the dark together.
