Fast facts

What we like

With coverage that includes everything from ants, mosquitoes and termites to larger wildlife like snakes and raccoons, you would be hard-pressed to find a more comprehensive pest control service than Arrow Exterminators.

We like Arrow’s commitment to environmentally friendly practices with its STEPS program, which focuses on treating pest problems using minimal chemicals. Instead, it focuses on eliminating food or water sources that attract pests and sealing potential entry points. Arrow is GreenPro certified by the National Pest Management Association. The company also has a solid reputation, decades of experience in the pest control industry and favorable customer ratings.

What we don’t like

While Arrow’s coverage of pests and reputation may be impressive, it has a limited scope. The company serves only 12 states, most of which are in the South. Arrow’s pricing for common pests, such as ants and roaches, is competitive, but its treatments for specialty pests, such as termites and bedbugs, are expensive.

Arrow Exterminators pros and cons

While we like the company’s general pest control costs, its treatments for bedbugs, termites and other specialty pests could be more affordable.

Pros

  • Boasts some 60 years of experience
  • Prioritizes environmentally friendly solutions
  • Offers wildlife control
  • Excellent pricing on long-term and individual pest treatments

Cons

  • Doesn’t offer online quotes
  • Expensive treatments for specialty pests
  • Only available in 12 states

How much does Arrow Exterminators cost?

Arrow Exterminators doesn’t publish the cost of its services because prices can vary significantly based on the property size, the pest being treated and geographic location. We tried calling the company to get cost ranges over the phone, but the representative insisted that an-home inspection be done before they could give us a quote.

That said, the average cost for preventative pest treatments is $37 and $108 per month for an annual plan. Its termite treatments range from $800 to $1,800, depending on the severity of the problem, where you live, and the type of construction of your home. If you’re dealing with bedbugs, Arrow charges $250 for a bedbug inspection and then creates a custom plan that credits $200 of the inspection cost to the treatment.

To find out how much Arrow will charge for your home, you’ll need to go fill out its online form to identify your pest control needs. A representative from the company will contact you within two business days to schedule a free pest inspection, during which you’ll get an estimate for pest control services. You can also call the company’s toll-free number to set up an inspection or order services.

Common household bugs and insects

Arrow’s core pest control services cover common insect invaders, such as ants, roaches, stink bugs, and silverfish. Through this service, Arrow customizes a prevention plan specific to the home’s needs.

Mosquito

Arrow offers seasonal and one-time mosquito control treatments. With its seasonal mosquito control, the company treats your yard once a month during the part of the year when mosquitoes are active (this varies by region). Arrow also offers one-time, special event mosquito control for outdoor events, such as weddings.

Wildlife

Arrow provides one-time treatments for removing larger animals, including rodents, squirrels, raccoons, birds, scorpions, and other wildlife. Once the unwanted visitors are removed, the Arrow team will determine how the animals got in and build a plan to prevent their return.

Termite

With this termite prevention service, a technician performs routine inspections and treatments throughout the year. For termite removal and prevention, the company uses the Sentricon System, which consists of baits installed around the home. Sentricon protects the White House from termite invasion, so you can trust it to prevent termites from destroying your home.

Additional pest control services

Arrow also offers pest control services for less common and hard-to-remove pests, including scorpions, fire ants, bedbugs, stinging insects, fleas and ticks.

Arrow Exterminators add-ons and optional features

In addition to pest control, Arrow provides various home improvement services.

Handyman services

Arrow’s handyperson and carpentry services include installing and repairing drywall, siding, gutters, windows, decking, interior and exterior doors, garage doors and chimneys.

Insulation services

As part of its home services, Arrow provides insulation upgrade services.

Lawn care services

Along with pest control for the home, Arrow can deliver pest control, fertilization and weed control for your lawn. As part of these services, the company removes fire ant nests.

Moisture control

Arrow offers comprehensive moisture control services, including crawl space encapsulation, gutter cleaning, gutter guard installation, and foundation vent installation.

What pests do Arrow Exterminators not treat?

Arrow is one of a handful of exterminators that treat just about every type of pest. Its treatments include common insects, specialty insects like bedbugs, termites, fire ants and rodents, and larger wildlife, such as raccoons, birds and squirrels. The company also handles snakes, bats and opossums.

Arrow Exterminators customer experience

Arrow Exterminators provides fewer ways to reach its customer service representatives than other pest control companies. Customer service is only available via phone. New customers can contact Arrow by telephone or by filling out a request for services, after which, Arrow says, a customer representative will reach out within two business days.

When you call Arrow Exterminators, you’ll be asked to enter your ZIP code, after which you’ll be directed to your local Arrow Exterminators location. We called three times, each time being connected with a representative immediately. When we spoke to our local representative, she was knowledgeable and courteous when answering our questions.

Arrow has mostly good reviews from customers. Here’s what a few had to say:

The fine print: Terms and conditions you should know

Arrow needs to be more specific on what it promises customers. The company’s website prominently displays a 100% satisfaction guarantee for its STEPS program and termite services. However, it provides minimal details about how it’s administered if a customer is unsatisfied.

Arrow Exterminators vs. competitors

Arrow Exterminators is one of the best all-around pest control companies. It has an A+ rating with the BBB and is certified as a QualityPro company by the National Pest Management Association.

Arrow impressed us with the sheer number of services it offers. In addition to pest control, the company provides home repair, carpentry and insulation services. While pricing is competitive for treating common pests, it charges some of the most expensive prices for pest control services to treat termites and specialty pests. You’ll pay between $800 and $1,800 for termite services. In comparison, Terminix charges between $400 and $1,500 annually for termite treatment. The national average for termite treatments is between $230 and $930.

Arrow has a much smaller coverage area than other pest control companies, serving just 12 states, almost all of which are located in the South. In comparison, competitor Orkin serves 49 states and Terminix serves 45 states. For customers who live in its coverage area and want a one-stop shop for a variety of pest and home repair needs, it’s tough to beat Arrow.
