Cold weather: You either love or hate it. For those who enjoy snow-based activities like skiing and snowboarding, it can be a fun time of year. On the other hand, you may have much different feelings if you’re a city slicker trudging through the seemingly endless slush and wind.

Whichever side you’re on, you’re probably looking for ways to get warm and stay warm this winter. That’s where these reusable heat packs come in to save the day. You can throw them in a puffer coat pocket, inside a pair of gloves or even in your pants pockets to stay warm. Plus, you can reuse them all winter long.

Here’s how I found these reusable heat packs and why I think they’re an essential piece of travel gear for both winter lovers and haters.

These reusable heat packs are an eco-friendly alternative to single-use hand warmers. Use them on your next ski trip or when traveling to a cold-weather city this winter and you’ll stay warm on the go.

How I found the Hot To Go Reusable Heat Packs

I have a ski trip abroad planned and was looking for handy accessories that would help keep me warm and came across these reusable heat packs. In the past, I’ve used the disposable HotHands packets and they’ve always been great.

However, the last time I brought them through TSA, they caused a bit of a ruckus and resulted in me having to unpack my entire backpack. Plus, I like the idea of the Hot to Go Heat Packs being a reusable and more environmentally friendly option than disposable hand warmers.

Why the Hot To Go Reusable Heat Packs are a score

This pack includes eight heat packs in two different sizes. The round heat packs are small enough to fit in a pair of gloves, making them perfect for a ski trip. Meanwhile, the other four are about the size of an iPhone and can fit in a pocket, making them a great accessory if you don’t have gloves on hand and want to keep your hands extra cozy in your pocket.

Although I tested them as a ski accessory, I found the heat packs to be nice to have on hand for a quick and convenient warm compress. The rectangular packs, for example, rest nicely on your shoulders and feel great if you have any muscle soreness or pain.

To reset these heat packs, all you have to do is place them in boiling water for about 10 minutes, and voila! You can reuse them again and again.

Anyone who buys reusable hand warmers should consider buying a pack of Hot to Go Heat Packs. For just $25 and virtually unlimited uses, they’re hard to pass up whether you’re planning a ski trip or not.
