Lovelook backpack exterior

Whether you’re commuting to work or going on vacation, a good travel backpack can be the perfect travel accessory. In both scenarios, no one likes having an achy back or digging around to find things. If you’re fashion-forward, it’s also nice to have a backpack that doesn’t look like you’re going to school or the gym.

That’s where the TikTok viral Lovevook Laptop Backpack comes in. This 12-liter backpack is the perfect daypack for commuters and travelers alike as it has enough room for all the necessities, plus some great organizational pockets to keep you from losing things.

Even better, it’s one of the more stylish backpacks on the market and is available in a variety of colors to match your style.

I recently put this backpack to the test. Here’s a full look at what I liked, what I didn’t and how it compares to other popular travel backpacks on the market.

The Lovevook backpack is a versatile option for daily commutes and travel. With its structured opening, ample pockets and sleek design, it offers convenience and functionality at a great price.

What we liked about it

Lovelook backpack being worn

Overall, the Lovevook Laptop Backpack is a great choice, especially considering the price tag. Whether you’re looking for a stylish everyday bag or a backpack to travel with, this can double as both.

Easy loading and organization

Inside of Lovelook backpack

What makes this Lovevook backpack stand out from others is its structured, wired opening that makes it easy to find things. Unlike other top-loading zippered backpacks, this backpack opens to the full depth of the backpack, allowing you to see the bottom of the bag without having to rummage around.

Plus, with 19 pockets and sleeves, this bag has more than enough organized storage to meet your needs:

  • One main compartment.
  • One iPad sleeve (fits up to an 11-inch iPad).
  • One padded laptop sleeve (fits up to a 15.6-inch laptop).
  • One large zippered internal pocket.
  • Two internal side pockets.
  • One front zippered organizer pocket.
  • Four slip pockets (two in main compartment, two in front organizer pocket).
  • One mesh sleeve.
  • One anti-theft pocket.
  • One hidden quick zip pocket.
  • One small front zip pocket.
  • Two pen holders.
  • Two expandable water bottle sleeves.
  • One luggage strap.
  • One USB charging port (for a portable battery/power bank).

The perfect size

While this backpack would certainly make for a good everyday bag, it would also be a great personal item for traveling, as it’s just the right size.

Most airlines require personal items to be under 18 inches by 14 inches by 8 inches, and this backpack measures 16.7 inches by 11.4 inches by 5.5 inches. This makes it the perfect travel companion when flying low-cost carriers (like Spirit and Frontier) that have strict baggage limits.

It’s surprisingly durable

Lovelook backpack head on

In terms of durability, the Lovevook backpack can withstand a light rainstorm, but I wouldn’t stay out in the pouring rain too long. While the material is water-resistant and my belongings stayed dry after pouring a glass of water on it, I’m not so confident that it would be long-lasting. But if you happen to have something spill or leak inside the backpack, it’s an easy cleanup. The nylon material is not only water-resistant but anything on it can also be easily wiped off.

Regardless, its materials feel sturdy and withstood my daily use without showing much wear. I’d expect this backpack to look great even after a year or more of regular use.

Great water bottle sleeves

One of my favorite features of this backpack is actually the two water bottle sleeves. At a time when it seems like everybody is lugging around a Stanley or Hydro Flask, it feels like backpacks are lacking pockets to hold them — but not the Lovevook.

I fit both a 32-ounce Hydro Flask and a 32-ounce YETI Rambler in the designated sleeves with ease. The only drawback is that the Rambler is not spill-proof and will make a mess if you bend over, even in the pocket, but that’s pretty standard.

What we didn’t like about it

While the Lovevook Laptop Backpack has many great features, the backpack has a few shortcomings.

Comfortability

For one, the padding is off. Specifically, I found the straps to be generously padded, but the backside is lacking in padding. It might feel stiff over a long period.

Things can get tight

The luggage strap is pretty short, so it’s not super easy to slide over your carry-on bag,?especially if you have the bag packed to its full capacity.

If you’re running tight on space, check out the 24 liter version, which is $43.

The USB charging port is overhyped

Lastly, the USB charging port wasn’t much of a convenience as it doesn’t include a power bank. So if you plan to utilize it, you have to bring along a portable charger. While that’s not a huge deal, it doesn’t really add much to the backpack. Instead, it provides the opportunity for water or dirt to more easily get inside the backpack.
