In 2008, Barack Obama became the first Democrat to win Indiana since Lyndon Johnson in 1964. He lost the state in 2012 to Mitt Romney. In the 2020 Democratic primary, Joe Biden swept every county in the Hoosier State, securing 76.5% of the vote and the vast majority of Indiana’s delegates. See 2020 primary results
