VIRGINIA

This measure would create a commission made up of members of the legislature and the public that would be responsible for drawing congressional and state legislative districts. Those maps would be approved by the legislature without the governor’s involvement. It also establishes that the state Supreme Court would be responsible for drawing districts if the commission can’t or if the legislature doesn’t approve those created by the commission.
